Swedish Handicraft Association – SHR turns 100 in 2012. This will be celebrated during 366 days of workshops, cultural days, exhibitions and lots ofother activities around the country.

In Stockholm and on the island of Djurgården three great handicrafts exhibitions will open during the year. The jubilee exhibition will take place at the prestigious Art Gallery Liljevalchs during the summer. At the Nordic Museum an exhibition about weaving will show at the old Renaissance castle. At Waldemarsudde an exhibition about the founder of the Swedish Handicraft Association Lilli Zickerman is held.

Many more exhibitions and activities will take place around the country, for example at the Castle of Vadstena a lace exhibition will be shown and in Skövde you can take part of an exhibition that both looks backwards in history and looks ahead  into the future handicraft.
